Viking Cape

+

The Viking Cape is over five meters of stone washed and adorned heavy duty denim with an inside pocket and enormous hood. Special care went in to every detail of this item. From the detailed trimming, rivet positions and line work, this cape is as impressive as it is comfortable.

There are forty-five grommets and darts on the hood alone and eighty-five grommets that decorate the seams of each cape. The lines that you see sweeping up and down the cape are panels that are sewn together in an overlock fashion. Once stone washed, the edges fray, leaving a much larger impact.

The brown patch on either side of the hood is a hemp nettle that was cut into a neat design that Perry drew out and then framed with a denim edge.

The cape and hood are lined with an additional lining of cotton so that the inside is smooth and all stitch lines are hidden.

One size fits all. Buttons at the neck but easily slips on over your head.

Measurements: Cape is 42" long from the neck down. Hood is 14" deep with a "height" of 21.5" which is what allows it to sit on your shoulders and enhance your warlock powers. Inside pocket is 6" wide x 7" long.

Battle ready? Hell Yes! ♾⭐️/⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

I received this cloak for my birthday a little bit ago, and I can’t exclaim more about it !!!

Honestly, I’m just not sure where to go with this review, because there is so much to say, and I can’t decided if I want to go full Viking, or just gush. So I’ll split the difference.

The cloak is this amazing patchwork of the black denim, lined with a stone washed cotton. All the rough edge seams are facing outwards, and I can tell already they will fray delightfully with age. The trim and hood are decorated with the Celtic knot work, and their are ample metal grommets in smart places to finish off that look. So you can hit the renfair, or the grocery store with Viking pride.

When not rocking your cloak in the wild, it makes the perfect house wear item for lazy Saturdays (or Woden’s Day, or Thor’s Day.) Wrap yourself in its soft, weighty, warmth while you sip your morning grog, and sharpen you axe for a day of enemy hewing. Or use it as a blanket while you curl up with a good runic scroll, and read the bard’s words about your might in battle.

In all seriousness, I really haven’t been parted with this since I got it, at least not for long. It is like having a blank on your shoulders, that looks badass. While I’m sure I will use it in more costume settings, I think I will usually use it for just the comfort and warmth, which I guess that makes this less of an indulgence, and more a perfection of form and function combined.

MOST EPIC REVIEW EVER! Thank you Geoffrey!
